TypeZero is leveraging more than 10 years of clinical trials, research, and innovation to develop the inControl Diabetes Management Platform to improve and simplify the lives of people with diabetes. In 2018, the company was acquired by DexCom, Inc., a publicly traded company, headquartered in San Diego, Calif., and the leader in continuous glucose monitoring for people with diabetes. 

TypeZero’s headquarters will remain in Charlottesville with its current team of 15 employees, and expects to expand its operations and team in Virginia over the new few years.
