Rob Merhige sits in the UVA Licensing & Ventures Group office as a representative from the Office of the Vice President for Research at UVA. Rob’s role as the Assistant Vice President for Commercialization and Compliance supports a research portfolio with an annual volume exceeding $300MM. His extensive experience structuring collaborations, negotiating agreements, and solving complex problems for public and private entities has been an invaluable asset to the LVG team.
Prior to joining UVA in 2007, Rob worked as a commercial litigator with Hunton & Williams in Richmond, and served as legal counsel for several large, publicly traded companies.
