Jay Lee manages intellectual property portfolios related to biomedical engineering, therapeutics, and healthcare IT. In this role, she supports University of Virginia researchers to promote their innovations by performing market and intellectual property analysis, licensing responsibilities and negotiating contractual agreements. She also served as a member of the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative Innovation Committee to represent the UVA.

Jay joined LVG from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she served as a technology commercialization fellow, managing engineering intellectual property portfolios. Her career as a technology transfer began with an internship at Emory’s Office of Technology Transfer.

Before joining technology transfer, Jay worked as a research faculty at Georgia Institute of Technology and her research projects were in the area of in vitro Alzheimer’s disease modeling, and neuroinflammation. Her graduate studies at Georgia Tech focused on CNS drug delivery and neural tissue engineering with the application of regenerative medicine.
