Join UVA LVG Executive Director Michael Straightiff on Wednesday, November 14 for the GME Core Lecture Series. He will speak to the importance of engaging with UVA LVG early and often during research activities and share the resources and services available to medical residents through UVA LVG.

Straightiff will be joined by UVA Radiation Oncologist, Dr. Tim Showalter, who will share an LVG case study about his experience working with our office to advance his idea for a medical device. Dr. Showalter is developing a hydrogel solution to ease cervical cancer treatments and will share how engaging with LVG helped him identify funding sources and collaborators needed to transform his concept from idea to reality.

This event is open to UVA School of Medicine students, residents and faculty members.
