Cortney L. Mushill
Cortney Mushill is a Licensing Manager supporting LVG’s life sciences portfolio. In this role, she works with University of Virginia researchers on the development of their technologies of interest to evaluate for patentability and to identify potential commercial partners. Cortney also leads our graduate education programming, including our annual Technology Commercialization Workshop and internship program.
Cortney joins LVG from the University of Louisville where she earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology. Her graduate studies focused on the immune evasion mechanisms utilized by oral pathogens to promote periodontal disease development. During her time in Kentucky, Cortney also gained an introduction to technology transfer during an internship in the University Of Louisville Office Of Technology Transfer.
