UVA is chock full of entrepreneurial activities in April -- the E-Cup, Founders Forum, Galant Challenge and the Tom Tom Festival, as well as numerous workshops, panels and events.

April 16: Second Annual Founders Forum

The UVA Founders Forum will be held at Rouss-Robertson Hall, featuring a full day of distinguished speakers and, for the first time, includes a special collaboration with the Tom Tom Festival. 

April 16-19: EVOLVE Conference at the Tom Tom Festival 

The EVOLVE Conference is where innovation meets purpose—bringing together leaders, visionaries, and changemakers to explore the intersections of technology, business, society, and wellness that are shaping the future of community.

April 17: E-Cup Launch Competition

The UVA E-Cup Launch Competition will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the CODE Building located at 240 West Main Street Charlottesville, VA 22902. Don't miss the chance to witness innovative pitches, vote for the audience prize, and network with local investors and innovators. 

April 18: Jefferson Innovation Summit at the Tom Tom Festival

More than 20 delegates will convene in Charlottesville for the Jefferson Innovation Summit at the Tom Tom Festival to discuss the ways universities can help to commercialize and scale new technologies and grow entrepreneurship within the Commonwealth.

April 23: Galant Challenge

From 4 to 6 p.m., the Galant Challenge—a “demo day” of startups connected with UVA and/or affiliated with the school through their VC funders—will be held at the UVA McIntire School of Commerce. 

New this year, there will be a new cohort of exciting VC funds with ties to UVA and hosting a VC panel discussion open to the public from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. before the Challenge. This session will be valuable for anyone interested in venture capital careers or learning about fundraising.
