Darden welcomed a second group from the University of Piura’s PAD School of Management to grounds last week for another week-long International Partner Program. Thirty-two part-time MBA students from Peru joined Darden’s Center for Global Initiativesfor the week to study entrepreneurship and innovation and to visit local companies. The program was led by professors Raul Chao, Tom Steenburgh, Jeremy Hutchison-Krupat and Bobby Parmar. “The classes were excellent, I really enjoyed them. The professors were spectacular,” shared MBA student Alicia Santillana. During the week the group visited UVA’s Licensing & Ventures Group and UVA’s iLab to learn more about Charlottesville’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. At iLab, the group heard from Kris Cody (Class of 2018), CEO and founder of PAKA Apparel, a social enterprise based in Peru that began as a startup venture in iLab’s summer incubator program.
