2013 U.Va. Entrepreneurship Cup Workshops
Are you someone who:
- Wants to start a new venture but does not have that exciting idea?

- Has a team that wants to develop their idea?
You are in luck! Register for one or all these workshops and get started!

2: Presentation Skills - Tuesday, September 17 5:30pm - 7:30pm
3: Protecting your Idea - Tuesday, September 24 5:30pm - 7:30pm
4. Anatomy of a Pitch - Tuesday, October 1 5:30pm - 7:30pm
We encourage all students interested in submitting an application for the U.Va. E-CUP to attend any or all the workshops. Come with your team or come looking for a team! Come with your idea or come looking for an idea! The workshops are a great to network, collaborate and learn from experts.
Entrepreneurship Mentoring for Students
Dec. 4, 2012 | 5-7 p.m.
As a follow-up to the U.Va. Entrepreneurship Cup, we are hosting the final First Tuesdays event of 2012 as an opportunity to provide short, individual mentoring sessions to all students with entrepreneurial ideas.
Please come out to HackCville (#9 Elliewood Avenue on the Corner) on Tues., Dec. 4, from 5-7 p.m. for refreshments and one-on-one mentoring. Some of Charlottesville’s most experienced entrepreneurs will be there to answer your burning questions.
Please reply to liannevirginia.edu to let us know that you’re coming - include a brief description of your concept so that we can help to make some good matches.

Communications Speed Coaching
Venture Forward on the second Tuesday of this month to get your burning marketing and communications questions answered! Hosted by U.Va. Innovation and the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council, this month’s event will be held at the Darden i.Lab at the Darden School of Business.
Local professionals will be available for “speed-coaching” in a variety of hot communications topics, including:
- Corporate storytelling and messaging (Suzanne Henry, Four Leaf Public Relations)
- Graphic design, websites and product packaging (Darcey Ohlin Lacy, Watermark Design)
- Media relations (Nate Delesline III, Charlottesville Business Journal/Daily Progress)
- Social media strategy (Marijean Jaggers, Jaggers Communications)
U.Va. Innovation’s own Morgan Estabrook, senior manager of marketing and communications, will facilitate.
